Walking
From the Galway Cathedral, head southwest on University Road towards the River Corrib. Cross the river via O'Donoghue Bridge. Once across, continue straight onto Merchant's Road. Follow this road until it merges with Quay Street. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Shop Street. Turn left onto Shop Street and continue straight until you reach Eyre Square, which will be on your right.

Starting from the Spanish Arch, walk northeast along the Quay Street towards the intersection with Shop Street. Turn right onto Shop Street and continue walking straight. Eyre Square will be on your left as you approach the end of Shop Street.

If you are near the Galway City Museum, exit and head southeast towards the River Corrib. Cross the river using O'Donoghue Bridge. After crossing, continue straight on Merchant's Road, which will lead you to Quay Street. Turn left when you reach the intersection with Shop Street, and continue walking until you reach Eyre Square on your right.
