Walking
From Kilkenny Castle, head south on The Parade. Continue straight onto Rose Inn Street. Follow this road until you reach the junction with High Street. Turn right onto High Street and keep walking until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Castlecomer Road (R694). Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Kilkenny Train Station. From there, you can take a train to Waterford. The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity is located at Barronstrand St, Waterford, a short walk from the train station.

Bus
Start at Kilkenny City Centre and walk to the bus stop at MacDonagh Junction. Take the Bus Éireann route 40 heading towards Waterford. The bus journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Waterford Bus Station, head south on O'Connell Street, then turn left onto Barronstrand Street. The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity will be on your right.

Make your way to Kilkenny Train Station, which is located on the outskirts of the city center. You can walk there by following the directions to Castlecomer Road (R694) as mentioned previously.
