Getting there

Car

If you are driving, start from Killarney town center. Take the N72 road heading south towards Beaufort. After about 5 km, turn right onto the R563 towards Mealis. Follow the R563 for approximately 3 km until you see the sign for Cronin's Yard on your left. There is parking available on-site, but be mindful that it can fill up quickly, especially during peak tourist seasons.

Public Transportation

To reach Cronin's Yard via public transportation, take a bus from Killarney town center to Beaufort. Buses typically run every hour. Once you arrive in Beaufort, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km to Cronin's Yard. Follow the signs in the village towards the R563 and continue walking until you see the entrance to Cronin's Yard on your right. Be prepared for a bit of a hike if you choose this option.

Walking from Killarney National Park

If you are already within Killarney National Park, you can hike to Cronin's Yard. Begin at the Killarney National Park Visitor Centre and follow the trails leading towards the Gap of Dunloe. The walk is scenic and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Keep an eye out for the trail markers leading towards Beaufort, and you will eventually find the path that connects to Cronin's Yard.
