Walking
From the city center (O'Connell Street), head east towards the River Shannon. Cross the river via the Sarsfield Bridge. Once across, follow the road signs for the N7 (Dublin Road) and continue straight. After about 1.5 km, you'll reach a roundabout. Take the second exit onto the R445, continuing for another 1 km. Look for signs leading to Castletroy. As you enter Castletroy, keep an eye out on your left for Unnamed Road where Black Castle is located. It’s situated in a green space, so look for a small park area.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the city center, head to the Arthur's Quay Bus Station. Take Bus Route 301 towards Castletroy. The journey should take approximately 20 minutes. Request to get off at the 'Castletroy College' stop. From there, walk straight down the road for about 500 meters. You will see a sign for Unnamed Road; turn left and walk along the road until you reach Black Castle, which will be on your left side.
