From Limerick City, head to the Arthur's Quay Bus Station. Take bus number 301 towards Newcastle West. Ensure you check the bus schedule as services may vary. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Ballybrown stop. From there, walk approximately 1.5 kilometers northeast along the Ballybrown Road until you reach Carrigogunnell Castle. The castle will be visible on your left as you approach.

If you are in the city center, you can walk to Carrigogunnell Castle. Start at O'Connell Street and walk towards the River Shannon. Cross the river at Sarsfield Bridge and continue straight onto the Ennis Road (N18). Walk about 4 kilometers until you reach Ballybrown. Once in Ballybrown, follow the signs to Carrigogunnell Castle, which is located just a short walk from the village center. This journey will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Start your journey from the city center, cycling along the River Shannon towards the Ennis Road (N18). Follow the same route as the walking description, which is approximately 4 kilometers.
