Walking
If you are starting from the city center (O'Connell Street), head west towards the River Shannon. Cross the Thomond Bridge to reach the other side of the river. Once you are on the other side, continue straight until you reach the end of the bridge and turn left onto the riverbank path. Follow the path along the river until you reach the intersection with Nicholas Street. Turn right onto Nicholas Street, and you will see King John's Castle on your left.

From Limerick City Center, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located on O'Connell Street. Look for Bus Route 302 or 304, which heads towards the area near King John's Castle. Alight at the 'Castle' stop. From there, walk towards Nicholas Street, and you will find King John's Castle a short walk away, just follow the signs.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental services in Limerick city center. Head towards the River Shannon and cycle along the riverbank path heading west. This scenic route will take you directly to the area near King John's Castle. Once you reach Nicholas Street, lock your bike and walk towards the castle, which will be on your left.
