If you are starting from Limerick City Centre, head towards O'Connell Street. From O'Connell Street, walk west towards the River Shannon. Cross the bridge (Sarsfield Bridge) over the river. Once you are on the other side, continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the Dock Road (N18). Continue on Dock Road for about 1 km until you reach a set of traffic lights. Here, turn left onto Henry Street. Follow Henry Street as it becomes Coonagh Road. After about 500 meters, keep an eye out for signs directing you to King's Island. You will find The Widows Alms Houses located on King's Island.

Once on the bus, stay on until you see a stop that indicates King's Island or close to the area. Start from the Limerick City Centre and head towards the River Shannon, taking the same route as if walking via O'Connell Street.
