Car
From Mizen Head, take the R591 road towards Goleen. Continue on this road for about 5 minutes until you reach the junction. Turn left onto the N71 road. Follow the N71 for approximately 10 minutes, enjoying the scenic views of the coastline. When you reach the village of Goleen, continue straight until you see signs for Mizen Head. The road will lead you directly to the Mizen Head Visitor Centre where you can park your car. There is a parking fee of €5 which grants you access to the lighthouse and surrounding areas.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from the nearby town of Skibbereen to Goleen. The bus service is operated by Bus Éireann (check their website for the latest schedule). Once you arrive in Goleen, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers to the Mizen Head Visitor Centre. Follow the signs for Mizen Head, and enjoy the stunning views along the way. Note that there is an entry fee of €5 at the Visitor Centre which includes access to the lighthouse.

For those already in Mizen Head, the lighthouse is about a 30-minute walk from the Mizen Head Visitor Centre. Start at the Visitor Centre and follow the marked walking path leading towards the cliffs. The path is well-maintained but can be steep in certain areas, so wear comfortable walking shoes. As you walk, take in the breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. The walkway will lead you directly to the lighthouse where you can enjoy the stunning scenery and take pictures.
