Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Pilgrim's Path, start from the main road N56. From there, take the exit towards Carrickmacafferty. Follow the signs for Slieve League Cliffs. Once you reach Carrickmacafferty, continue on the R263 road. After approximately 5 km, look for a sign indicating the Pilgrim's Path. The start point is located at J8X6+GV, which is a clearly marked area with parking available nearby. Make sure to check for any parking fees, which may vary.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Pilgrim's Path by public transport, take a bus from Donegal Town to Killybegs. From Killybegs, catch a local bus that goes towards Carrickmacafferty. You will need to ask the bus driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to the Pilgrim's Path, as some local buses might not have a designated stop. Once you get off, follow the signs towards the Pilgrim's Path. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they can be infrequent, particularly on weekends.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of Slieve League Cliffs, you can walk to the Pilgrim's Path from the nearby parking area. Start by heading northwest towards the cliff edge. Follow the trail signs directing you to the Pilgrim's Path. The path is well-marked, and you will see other hikers along the way. The walk should take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear, as the terrain can be uneven.
