Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of The Burren. Head southeast on the N67 towards Kilfenora. Continue on the N67 for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the junction with the R476. Take a right onto the R476 and follow the signs for Newtown. After about 2 kilometers, you will see the sign for Newtown Castle on your right. Turn onto the road leading to Newtown Castle, and you will find the castle at the address Newtown, Co. Clare, H91 H299.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the bus from Ennistymon towards Kilfenora. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may vary. Get off at the Kilfenora stop, which is approximately 10 kilometers from Newtown Castle. From Kilfenora, you can either walk (about 30 minutes) or take a local taxi to Newtown. The taxi will take you directly to Newtown Castle. If walking, head southeast from the Kilfenora bus stop towards the R476, then turn right and follow the road signs for Newtown Castle.
