Walking
From the center of Waterford, head northwest on the Main Street towards the Plaza. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the John Roberts Square. Turn left onto the Parade Quay. Walk along the quay until you reach the bus station at the end of the quay. From the bus station, take bus number 40 which goes to Kilkenny. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Kilkenny, alight at the Kilkenny City Bus Stop. From there, walk towards John's Green. The Kilkenny County Library Headquarters is located at John's Green House, just a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

From Waterford city center, you can take a bus to Kilkenny. Head to the Waterford Bus Station located at the end of the quay. Purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Kilkenny. The buses run regularly throughout the day. Once you arrive at the Kilkenny Bus Station, exit the station and walk straight towards the main road. Cross the road and head left towards the traffic lights. At the traffic lights, turn right onto John's Green. Continue walking straight for approximately 15 minutes until you reach John's Green House, where the Kilkenny County Library Headquarters is located.
