Start your journey at the Westport Town Hall, located on the Main Street. From the Town Hall, head south towards the Quay. Once you reach the Quay area, continue walking along the waterfront. Look for the signs directing you to 'Westport Demesne' or 'Westport House'. Follow the pathway that leads into the Westport Demesne park. After entering the park, keep to the right and follow the path that leads towards the nature preserve area. Garvillaun is located within this nature preserve, so keep an eye out for the signage indicating the preserve. The total walking distance from the Town Hall to Garvillaun should be approximately 1.5 kilometers, taking around 20-30 minutes.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Westport. Begin your cycling journey at the Westport Town Hall and head towards the Quay area.
