Bus
From Wexford town, head to the Wexford Bus Station located on Whitemill Road. Take the Bus Éireann Route 370 towards Gorey. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the stop for Shelmaliere Commons. Once you arrive at the Shelmaliere Commons stop, you will need to walk approximately 15 minutes to reach Carrigfoyle Quarry. Head northwest on the main road, following the signs towards the quarry. The quarry is located at the coordinates 52.3243509, -6.5544082.
Walking
If you are already in Wexford town, you can take a scenic walk to Carrigfoyle Quarry. Start from the Wexford Town Centre and head towards the River Slaney. Follow the riverside path to the north until you reach the junction with the N25 road. Carefully cross the road and continue on the path leading to Shelmaliere Commons. After about 3 kilometers of walking, you will arrive at the quarry area. Keep an eye out for local signage directing you to the quarry.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Wexford town. Head out of town towards the N25 road, and follow the cycle path that runs parallel to it. After approximately 5 kilometers, take the exit towards Shelmaliere Commons. The road leading to Carrigfoyle Quarry is cyclist-friendly and well-marked. It should take about 20-30 minutes to reach the quarry from Wexford town by bicycle.
