From Douglas Head, drive towards the A1 road. Continue on the A1, following signs for the city center. Once you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A5 (Fort Street). Continue straight for about 1 mile until you reach a junction. Turn right onto Summerhill Road. Follow Summerhill Road for approximately 0.5 miles until you see the entrance to Summerhill Wetlands on your left. There is limited parking available near the entrance.

Public Transportation
From Douglas Head, walk to the nearest bus stop on the A1 (near the Sea Terminal). Take bus number 1, 2, or 3 towards the city center. Alight at the 'Summerhill' stop. From there, walk along Summerhill Road for about 0.5 miles. The entrance to Summerhill Wetlands will be on your left. Be sure to check the bus schedule as services may vary.

If you are at Douglas Head, you can walk to Summerhill Wetlands. Start by heading towards the A1 road. Once you reach the A1, turn left and walk along the road towards the city center. After about 0.5 miles, turn right onto Summerhill Road. Continue walking for another 0.5 miles until you see the entrance to Summerhill Wetlands on your left. This is a pleasant walk and will take approximately 20-30 minutes.
