    From Laxey, head to the nearest bus stop on the main road (Laxey Promenade). Take the bus towards Castletown (Bus number 3 or 3A). The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Castletown, The Old Market Square stop. From the bus stop, walk straight along Market Street, then turn left onto Castle Street. Continue walking for about 5 minutes, and you will see Castle Rushen on your right.

    If you prefer to walk, start at the Laxey train station. Exit the station and turn left onto the main road. Follow the A2 road south towards Castletown. The total distance is about 5 miles, which will take roughly 1 hour and 40 minutes. Be sure to follow the path along the coast for scenic views. Once you arrive in Castletown, continue onto Castle Street, and Castle Rushen will be on your right.

  • Taxi

    For a quicker option, you can take a taxi from Laxey to Castle Rushen. You can easily find a taxi at the Laxey taxi rank or call a local taxi service. The journey will take around 15 minutes, and the driver will take you directly to Castle Rushen, located at Castle Street, Castletown.
