Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from Onchan village center. Head north on the A2 (Main Road), following the signs towards Douglas. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto the A5 towards Ramsey. Follow the A5 for approximately 3.5 miles until you reach Ballasalla. At Ballasalla, follow the signs for the A16 towards Point of Ayre. After about 5 miles, you will see signs for Point of Ayre Lighthouse. Follow the A16, and you will arrive at the lighthouse.

  • Bus

    From Onchan, walk to the nearest bus stop on the A2 (Main Road). Take Bus No. 3 towards Ramsey and get off at the Ramsey bus station. From there, transfer to Bus No. 5 or 5A heading to Point of Ayre. The bus will take you directly to the Point of Ayre Lighthouse. Check the bus schedule for return times.

  • Bicycle

    If you are cycling, start in the center of Onchan and head north on the A2 (Main Road) toward Douglas. Continue through Douglas, then take the A5 towards Ramsey. Keep an eye out for the A16 signs which will lead you to Point of Ayre. The cycling route is approximately 8 miles and is fairly scenic, passing through coastal views.
