Getting There

    From the center of Laxey, head north on the main road (New Road) towards the Laxey Wheel. Continue walking past the Laxey Wheel, keeping it on your left. Follow the road as it bends to the right, and then take a left onto the A2 (Coast Road). Keep walking along the A2 for about 1.5 miles (approximately 30-40 minutes). You will see signs for The Ayres National Nature Reserve as you approach. The entrance will be on your right.

  • Bus

    From Laxey, head to the nearest bus stop located at the Laxey village center. Take the bus service 3 or 3A towards Ramsey. Make sure to inform the driver of your destination: The Ayres National Nature Reserve. The journey will take approximately 15 minutes. Ask the driver to let you know when you arrive at the Ayres stop; the reserve entrance is just a short walk from there.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a shop in Laxey. Start at the Laxey village center and head north on New Road towards the Laxey Wheel. After passing the Laxey Wheel, continue straight onto the A2 (Coast Road). The Ayres National Nature Reserve is about 1.5 miles from Laxey. Follow the signs, and you will find bike-friendly paths leading into the reserve.
