    Start from the main Onchan village area. Head northwest on Main Road (A1) towards Douglas. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A2 towards Port Erin. After about 0.4 miles, you will see a sign for The Herring Tower on your left. Follow the footpath that leads up the hillside towards the tower. The path is steep, so take your time. Once you reach the top, The Herring Tower will be visible ahead.
