Getting There

  • Car

    From Snaefell, start by heading southeast on the A18 towards Laxey. Continue on the A18 for about 4.5 miles (7.2 km). As you approach Laxey, you will see signs for Laxey Beach. Turn left onto the A2 (Laxey Promenade), which will lead you directly to the beach area. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that there may be a small fee for parking during peak season.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Snaefell, walk to the nearest bus stop on the A18 main road. You can catch the 'Bus Vannin' service heading towards Laxey. Look for routes 3 or 4, which regularly service this area. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive in Laxey, disembark at the Laxey Promenade stop, and Laxey Beach will be just a short walk from there.

  • Public Transportation (Tram)

    Alternatively, you can take the Snaefell Mountain Railway tram down to Laxey station. This scenic ride takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Laxey station, follow the signs to the Laxey Promenade, which is about a 10-minute walk. Laxey Beach is located at the end of the promenade.
