Getting There

Walking
From Bethlehem's Manger Square, head northeast towards Star Street. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with the main road, which is the Jerusalem-Bethlehem road. Turn left and continue straight for about 20 minutes until you reach the checkpoint for entering Jerusalem. After passing through the checkpoint, continue straight on Sultan Suleiman Street. In about 15 minutes, you will arrive at the Old City of Jerusalem.

Public Bus
From Manger Square in Bethlehem, walk to the main bus station located near the Church of the Nativity. Take bus number 21 or 24, which goes directly to the checkpoint for entering Jerusalem. After getting off at the checkpoint, you will need to go through security. Once you are through, you can either walk or take a local bus from the checkpoint to the Old City. If walking, head northwest on Sultan Suleiman Street for about 15 minutes.

Shared Taxi (Service Taxi)
From Manger Square, walk to the nearby taxi stand. Look for a shared taxi (service taxi) heading to Jerusalem. These taxis usually wait until they are full before leaving. Once you are dropped off at the checkpoint, proceed through security. From there, you can either walk or take a local bus to the Old City. If walking, continue northwest on Sultan Suleiman Street for approximately 15 minutes.
