Getting There

    From your location in Eilat, head to the nearest bus station, which is likely the Eilat Central Bus Station located at the intersection of Hativat Golani and Ha'atzma'ut streets. Once there, purchase a ticket to Aqaba. Buses to Aqaba operate regularly throughout the day. The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on border crossing times. Make sure to have your passport ready, as you will need to show it at the Israel-Jordan border. After crossing the border into Jordan, you will arrive at the bus station in Aqaba.

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi to Aqaba. You can find taxis at various locations around Eilat, including the airport and hotels. Discuss the fare with the driver before starting your journey. The drive will take around 30 minutes, but be aware that you will need to cross the border, so have your passport ready for inspection at the border crossing. The taxi driver may wait for you while you complete border formalities.

  • Walking to the Border

    If you enjoy walking and the weather is nice, you could walk to the border crossing at the Arava Border Terminal. From the center of Eilat, head south towards the border, which is about 6 km away. Follow the signs to the Arava Border Terminal. Once you reach the terminal, you will need to go through passport control to enter Jordan. After crossing, you can catch a local taxi or bus to take you into Aqaba.
