Getting There

Walking
From Bat Galim, head towards the beach promenade. Walk along the promenade in the direction of the north (towards the Mediterranean Sea). Continue straight until you reach the main road, Derech Yafo. Cross the road and head up the hill on Stella Maris Road. The monastery will be on your left after approximately 1 kilometer. The walk should take around 20-30 minutes.

Public Bus
From Bat Galim, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Derech Yafo. Take bus number 36 or 37 heading towards the Carmel Center. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Stella Maris' stop. From there, it’s a short walk up Stella Maris Road to the entrance of the monastery. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as frequencies may vary.

Cable Car
Starting from Bat Galim, walk to the Haifa Cable Car station located at the base of the Carmel Mountain. The cable car ride costs approximately 18 ILS one-way and takes you up to the top of the mountain. After exiting the cable car, follow the signs towards Stella Maris Monastery, which is about a 15-minute walk downhill on Stella Maris Road.
