Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Old City of Jerusalem, head towards the Lion's Gate. Upon arriving at Lion's Gate, exit the gate and walk straight ahead along the road. Keep an eye out for the Mount of Olives on your left side. Continue walking until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path that leads upwards towards the Mount of Olives. As you ascend, you will see the Golden Gate ahead of you, set in the ancient city walls.

From the City Center, take bus number 75 or 77 from the Central Bus Station towards the Old City. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Damascus Gate. Once you get off, walk towards the Old City and enter through the Damascus Gate. After entering, navigate through the winding streets towards the Lion's Gate. From Lion's Gate, follow the directions provided for walking to the Golden Gate.

If you are starting from the Western Wall, exit the area and head towards the Dung Gate. Once you reach the Dung Gate, exit into the Kidron Valley. Walk along the valley towards the Mount of Olives. As you walk, you will have a clear view of the Golden Gate in the distance at the eastern wall of the Old City. Follow the road that leads up to the Golden Gate.
