Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Jaffa Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem, exit onto Jaffa Street and head east. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with David Street. Turn left onto David Street and proceed until you reach the Zion Gate. After passing through the Zion Gate, look for the signs leading to the Mount Zion area. Follow the path towards the Mount Zion Cemetery, and from there, continue on the path until you see signs for Mary's Spring. The spring is located near the entrance to the Church of St. Mary Magdalene.

    From the central bus station in Jerusalem, take bus number 74 towards the Old City. Get off at the stop near the Jaffa Gate. From there, follow the walking directions provided above to reach Mary's Spring.

    If you are starting from the Western Wall, exit the plaza area and head towards the Dung Gate. From the Dung Gate, turn left and follow the path around the city walls. You will eventually reach the Zion Gate. Follow the same path as described earlier towards Mount Zion and then to Mary's Spring.

    If you are near the Mahane Yehuda Market, exit the market onto Jaffa Street. Take the light rail train from the Mahane Yehuda station towards the City Center.
