Car
If you're driving from Jerusalem, take Highway 1 (the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv Road) heading west. After about 30 minutes, merge onto Route 38 towards Beit Shemesh. Continue on Route 38 for approximately 10 kilometers until you see signs for Nahal Sorek. Turn right onto Nahal Sorek Road, and follow the road until you reach the park entrance. There is usually no entrance fee.
Public Transportation
To reach Nahal Sorek by public transport from Jerusalem, head to the Central Bus Station and take bus 417 to Beit Shemesh. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes. Disembark at the Beit Shemesh station and transfer to bus 10 or 15, which will take you closer to Nahal Sorek. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as they may vary, especially on weekends.
Walking
Once you arrive at the Nahal Sorek area (either by car or public transport), if you're near the park entrance, you may need to walk a short distance to find a suitable picnic spot. The area has several pathways leading to picnic tables and grassy areas, ideal for relaxing.
