Walking
If you are starting from the Old City, head towards the Jaffa Gate. From Jaffa Gate, walk straight along Sultan Suleiman Street. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with New Gate Street. Turn right onto New Gate Street, and you will find New Gate right ahead. This is a popular route for tourists and should be well marked.
Public Bus
You can take a bus from various locations in East Jerusalem to reach the area near New Gate. Board a bus heading towards the Old City and get off at the stop near the Damascus Gate. From there, it's a short 15-minute walk: head towards the Old City through the Damascus Gate, then follow the signs to Jaffa Gate. From Jaffa Gate, proceed along Sultan Suleiman Street, and turn right onto New Gate Street to arrive at New Gate.
Light Rail
If you are near the light rail station, take the light rail towards the City Center. Get off at the City Hall stop. From there, walk towards the Old City; it takes about 20 minutes. Walk along Hillel Street, then turn left onto King George Street, which will take you to the Old City. Once you reach Jaffa Gate, walk straight along Sultan Suleiman Street, then turn right onto New Gate Street to reach New Gate.
