Walking
From the central area of West Jerusalem, make your way to the intersection of King David Street and Agron Street. Head south on King David Street. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance of the Old City. As you approach the Old City, you will see the Zion Gate (Sha'ar Zion). Enter through the Zion Gate. Once inside, follow the signs towards Mount Zion, which is just a short walk from the gate. You will need to walk up Ma'ale Shazkh Street. The total walking time is approximately 20 minutes.
Public Transport (Bus)
If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch a bus from the central bus station in West Jerusalem. Look for bus lines 5 or 21 that head towards the Old City. The fare is approximately 6.50 NIS. Get off at the stop closest to the Zion Gate. From there, walk towards the gate, enter, and follow the signs to Mount Zion. The bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
For a more comfortable option, you can use a taxi or a ride-sharing app like Gett or Uber. Simply enter 'Mount Zion' or 'Ma'ale Shazkh St, Jerusalem' in the app. The fare will vary depending on your starting point in West Jerusalem, but you can expect to pay around 30-50 NIS. The drive should take about 10 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the driver is taking you to the correct location.
