Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the city of Be'er Sheva. Head northwest on Route 25 and continue for about 25 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 35. Turn left onto Route 35 and drive for approximately 15 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Tel Lachish and turn right onto the access road. Follow the road for about 5 kilometers until you see the entrance to Tel Lachish on your right. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
To reach Tel Lachish using public transportation, begin your journey by taking a bus from Jerusalem to Be'er Sheva. Several bus companies operate on this route, and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Be'er Sheva Central Bus Station, transfer to a bus heading towards Kiryat Gat. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the 'Tel Lachish' bus stop. From there, it's about a 20-minute walk to the entrance of the site. Ensure to check the bus schedules ahead of time for any changes.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more direct route from Be'er Sheva to Tel Lachish, consider using a taxi or rideshare service. You can find taxis at the Be'er Sheva Central Bus Station. The ride should take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic, and will cost approximately 100-150 ILS. Make sure to confirm the fare beforehand.
