Car
If you're driving to Kfar Hanokdim, start by heading south from Jerusalem on Route 1 toward the Dead Sea. After about 30 km, take the exit for Route 90, heading south. Continue on Route 90 for approximately 40 km until you reach the junction with Route 31. Turn left onto Route 31 and follow it for about 20 km, enjoying the beautiful desert scenery. When you see the signs for Kfar Hanokdim, turn right, and follow the road until you arrive at the resort. The total driving distance from Jerusalem is roughly 100 km, and it should take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic.
Public Transportation
To reach Kfar Hanokdim by public transport, first make your way to the central bus station in Jerusalem. Take a bus heading to Arad (Bus #388 or #393). The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours and buses run frequently throughout the day. Once you arrive in Arad, you will need to take a taxi to Kfar Hanokdim, which is about a 15 km drive. Taxis are available at the bus station, and the fare may range from 100 to 150 shekels (about $30 to $45), depending on the time of day and negotiation. It’s advisable to confirm the fare before starting your taxi ride.
Combination (Car + Taxi)
If you prefer a combination of transportation methods, you can rent a car in Jerusalem and drive to Arad as described above (about 1.5 hours). Once in Arad, you can park your car at a safe spot and take a taxi to Kfar Hanokdim (15 km away). This option allows you to enjoy the scenic drive and gives you flexibility in your schedule. Remember to check parking availability at Kfar Hanokdim in advance.
