Walking
From the Masada National Park entrance, begin your journey by following the main path leading into the park. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the base of the mountain. Look for signs pointing towards Har Mezada. As you approach the base, you will see a clearly marked trail that is well-maintained. This trail will lead you up the mountain. The hike to the peak takes around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your pace. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the trail can be steep in sections.

Once you reach the top of the trail, you will arrive at Har Mezada. Take a moment to enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding area, including the Dead Sea and the neighboring mountains. There are benches available where you can rest and take photographs. Make sure to explore the area at the peak, as there are several trails leading to different viewpoints.

When you are ready to return, simply retrace your steps back down the trail to the base of the mountain. Be cautious as the descent can be slippery in areas. Once back at the base, you can continue exploring Masada National Park or head back to the main path leading to the park entrance.
