Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, which is Brunico (Bruneck). From Brunico, take the SS49 road heading southeast towards Marebbe. Continue on the SS49 for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the town of Mareo. Once you arrive in Mareo, follow local signs to Muntejela de Sénes. The final stretch may require navigating narrow mountain roads, so please drive carefully and be prepared for potential traffic in peak tourist seasons. Parking may be available near the hiking trailhead.
Public Transportation (Bus)
For those using public transportation, you will first need to get to Brunico (Bruneck). You can take a train to Brunico from major cities like Bolzano or Bressanone. From Brunico, you will find a local bus service operated by SAD (Società Autobus del Sudtirolo). Take the bus towards Marebbe; it runs regularly throughout the day. Alight at the Mareo stop. From the bus stop, you will need to walk towards Muntejela de Sénes, which is approximately a 30-minute hike uphill, following marked trails. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips to ensure you can get back to Brunico.
