Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey on the SS242 road towards Monterota. From the town of Ortisei, head east on the SS242 for about 20 km. Once you reach the village of Monterota, continue to follow the signs for Ratsberg Panorama. There is a parking area available near the viewpoint, but be aware that parking may incur a small fee, typically around €5 for the day.
Public Transportation
To reach Ratsberg Panorama via public transportation, take a bus from Ortisei to Monterota. The bus service (Line 350) runs regularly, but it's advisable to check the latest timetable ahead of your trip. After arriving in Monterota, follow the local signs towards Ratsberg Panorama, which is roughly a 15-minute walk uphill from the bus stop. Ensure you have some change ready for the bus fare, which is approximately €3 for a one-way ticket.
Combination of Walking and Public Transportation
For an adventurous option, you can take a bus from Ortisei to the nearest bus stop in Monterota. Once you arrive, you can hike the remaining distance to Ratsberg Panorama. The hike is about 2 km and can take around 30-40 minutes. Make sure you wear appropriate footwear and carry water, as the trail can be steep in parts.
