    Car

    If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to Bolzano. From the center of Bolzano, head east on Via della Stazione towards Via Garibaldi. Continue straight to stay on Via della Stazione, which will turn into Via Abetone. Follow the signs for the SS241 towards Mules. After approximately 3 km, take the exit towards Viale Druso. Continue onto Viale Druso, then turn left onto Sentiero Imperatore Francesco Giuseppe. Castel Roncolo will be on your right. There's a small parking area nearby, where you might incur a parking fee of approximately €1.50 per hour.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Castel Roncolo using public transportation, start at the Bolzano train station. Take bus number 10 or 12 towards 'Renon'. Get off at the 'Castel Roncolo' stop. The castle is then a short walk uphill along Sentiero Imperatore Francesco Giuseppe. The bus ticket costs around €1.50 and you can purchase it at the station or from the bus driver.

    Walking from Bolzano

    If you're in Bolzano and prefer to walk, you can reach Castel Roncolo on foot. From the city center, make your way to the end of Via della Stazione and then follow Via Abetone. Continue straight towards the SS241, and look for signs directing you to Viale Druso. Once you reach Viale Druso, follow it until you find Sentiero Imperatore Francesco Giuseppe. The walk is approximately 30-40 minutes and is uphill in some parts, so wear comfortable shoes.
