Bus
From Amalfi, head to the main bus station located near the Piazza Flavio Gioia. Look for the SITA bus that goes towards Avellino. Make sure to check the schedule as buses do not run frequently. Once you board the bus, enjoy the scenic ride for about 30 minutes. Get off at the Mercogliano stop. From the bus stop, follow the signs to Via Santuario, which is a short 10-minute walk uphill. The Sanctuary of Montevergine will be on your right.

Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Amalfi. Taxis can be found at various points in the town, especially near the main square. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Sanctuary of Montevergine in Mercogliano. The ride will take approximately 25 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off directly at the entrance of the sanctuary.

Walking + Bus
If you enjoy walking, you can start by walking to the town of Ravello, which is about 30 minutes uphill from Amalfi. Once in Ravello, you can catch the SITA bus heading towards Avellino. The bus journey will take roughly 20 minutes. Alight at the Mercogliano stop and walk 10 minutes to reach the Sanctuary of Montevergine.
