Car
If you are driving, head towards Avellino. From the A16 autostrada, take the exit for Avellino Est. Follow signs for the city center (Centro) and then for P.zza Alfredo de Marsico. The Museo Irpino is located directly in the square. There is street parking available, but be sure to check for any parking restrictions and fees.
Public Transportation - Train
Take a train to Avellino from your nearest station (e.g., Napoli Centrale). The journey typically takes around 1 hour. Once you arrive at Avellino train station, exit and head to the bus terminal located just outside. From there, take a local bus (Line 1 or Line 2) heading towards the city center. Get off at the stop for P.zza Alfredo de Marsico, and you will find Museo Irpino right in the square.
Public Transportation - Bus
If you are already in a nearby town, check for regional bus services (like CSTP or SITA) that run to Avellino. Buses frequently operate from towns like Mercogliano or Solofra. Once you reach Avellino, you can either walk to P.zza Alfredo de Marsico, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus station, or take a local bus as mentioned above.
