If you are starting from the Arezzo train station, exit the station and head straight towards Viale Giuseppe Mazzini. Turn right when you reach Viale Giuseppe Mazzini and continue walking until you reach the main roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Via Roma. Continue straight until you reach the historic center of Arezzo. Once you reach Piazza Grande, take a moment to admire the architecture. From Piazza Grande, head down Via di San Francesco, and follow the signs towards San Domenico. After a short walk, you will arrive at Piazza San Domenico, where the basilica is located.

From the Arezzo train station, take the local bus that goes to the historic center. You can find the bus stop right outside the station. Look for buses heading to 'Centro' or 'Piazza Grande.' The journey takes about 10 minutes. Once you get off at the stop nearest to Piazza Grande, follow the walking directions mentioned previously by heading down Via di San Francesco towards Piazza San Domenico.
