Walking
From the central square of Assisi (Piazza del Comune), head northeast on Via San Francesco. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via del Fiume. Turn left onto Via del Fiume and follow it until you reach the end of the road. At the end, turn right onto Via della Rocca. Keep walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs pointing towards Prodo. The path will take you through scenic countryside and will eventually lead you to the entrance of Il Castello in Prodo.

From Assisi, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at Piazza Matteotti. Take the bus heading towards Terni. Make sure to check the schedule for bus times as they may vary. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. You will need to get off at the Prodo stop. Once you arrive at Prodo, walk along Via della Rocca for about 10 minutes to reach Il Castello. Look for signposts directing you towards the fortress.
