Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Bergamo's city center (Piazza Matteotti), head southeast towards Via XX Settembre. Walk down Via XX Settembre for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Via Tiraboschi. Turn left onto Via Tiraboschi and continue walking straight for 400 meters until you reach the end of the road. At the end, turn right onto Via Sant'Alessandro. Continue straight for another 300 meters. You will see the Duomo Vecchio, located in Piazza Paolo VI, to your left. The cathedral is hard to miss with its beautiful facade.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From the Bergamo train station, take bus line 1 towards 'Piazza Matteotti'. The bus ride will take around 10 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Piazza Matteotti'. From there, walk southeast towards Via XX Settembre. Follow Via XX Settembre for about 500 meters, then take a left onto Via Tiraboschi. Continue straight for 400 meters before turning right onto Via Sant'Alessandro. Walk another 300 meters, and you will find the Duomo Vecchio in Piazza Paolo VI on your left.

    If you are near the lower city and want to experience the funicular, take the funicular from Viale Vittorio Emanuele II to the upper city. Once you arrive at the top (Città Alta), exit the funicular station and walk along Viale delle Mura. Follow the road until you reach Piazza del Duomo. Duomo Vecchio is located in Piazza Paolo VI, just a short walk from the main square.
