Walking
If you are starting from the Bergamo train station (Stazione di Bergamo), exit the station and head south on Viale Papa Giovanni XXIII. Continue straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Viale Vittorio Emanuele II. Continue straight for another 10-15 minutes until you arrive at the city center. From here, follow the signs towards 'Piazza del Mercato'. The square is located just a short walk from the main square, Piazza della Libertà.

From the Bergamo train station, take bus line 1 towards 'Città Alta'. Get off at the stop 'Piazza della Libertà'. From Piazza della Libertà, walk towards 'Piazza del Mercato', which is about a 5-minute walk away. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions if needed.

If you are in the Città Alta (Upper Town), start at Porta San Giacomo and head down Via Gombito. Continue down the hill until you reach Piazza della Libertà. From there, head towards Via XX Settembre and follow the street until you reach Piazza del Mercato. It is a pleasant descent of about 15-20 minutes.
