Walking
If you're near the central area of Bergamo, start at the Città Alta (Upper Town). Head to the funicular station located at Viale delle Mura. Take the funicular to the Città Bassa (Lower Town). Once you arrive in the Lower Town, walk straight down Via XX Settembre, which is the main street. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the central square, Piazza Matteotti. From here, continue straight onto Via Dante, which will lead you to Piazza del Duomo. At the Duomo, take a left onto Via Roma, and after a short walk, you will arrive at Piazza del Carmine.
Bus
If you are near the main bus station in Bergamo, catch bus number 1 towards the Lower Town. The bus will take you to the stop at 'Piazza Matteotti'. Once you get off, walk onto Via Dante and continue straight until you reach Piazza del Duomo. At the Duomo, turn left onto Via Roma, and after a short walk, you will see Piazza del Carmine on your right.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct option, you can take a taxi. Simply tell the driver 'Piazza del Carmine' and they will take you there. Taxis are available at various points throughout Bergamo, especially around the train station and major squares.
