Wine Tasting with Cured Meats and Cheeses in Bergamo

A nice introduction to the vast array of Italian wines

It is located in the old town (Citta Alta) surrounded by beautiful architecture and little shops selling most things. Eduardo, our host created a good balance or letting you know everything about the history of the different types of wine ( 2 x white, 3x red) along with their characteristics and tasting notes without being overbearing. Meats and cheese (truffel) were gorgeous. Thoroughly enjoyed and purchased some take away wine.

Mehran’s knowledge of Bergamo was exceptional. He didn’t just show us the Upper and Lower City he brought them to life through fascinating stories, historical context, and detailed explanations of the architecture, culture, traditions, and beliefs that have shaped the city over the centuries. His passion for Italy and for Bergamo was evident in everything he shared, making every stop meaningful and engaging. The food and gelato was good, but it was Mehran’s enthusiasm, depth of knowledge, and ability to connect history with what we were seeing that made this tour one of the highlights of our trip. If you’re visiting Bergamo and want more than just a sightseeing tour, we highly recommend requesting Mehran.
