If you are starting from the central square, Piazza Maggiore, head east towards Via dell'Indipendenza. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via Rizzoli. Turn left onto Via Rizzoli, and keep walking until you reach Via Azzo Gardino. Turn right onto Via Azzo Gardino, and you will find Giardino del Cavaticcio on your left after a short walk.

From the central station, Stazione di Bologna Centrale, exit the station and head to the bus stop located outside. Take bus number 14 or 19. Get off at the 'Cavaticcio' stop. From there, walk back a short distance on Via Azzo Gardino, and you will see Giardino del Cavaticcio on your left.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations around the city. Start from Piazza Maggiore and cycle east on Via dell'Indipendenza until you reach the intersection with Via Rizzoli. Turn left and continue cycling until you reach Via Azzo Gardino.
