Walking
If you are in the heart of Bologna, start at Piazza Maggiore, the main square. From there, head southwest towards Via Rizzoli. After a short walk, take a right onto Via Ugo Bassi. Continue straight until you reach Via Indipendenza, where you will take a left. Walk for about 10 minutes, and you will see the entrance to Piazza Malpighi on your left. The square is a lovely area surrounded by historical buildings.
Public Transport
If you prefer to use public transport, head to the nearest bus stop and take bus number 11 or 36 towards 'Piazza Malpighi'. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to get off at the stop named 'Piazza Malpighi'. From the bus stop, you will see the square right in front of you.
Bicycling
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations around Bologna. Start from the central area and head toward Via Zamboni. Continue straight until you reach Via Indipendenza and turn left. Cycling for about 15 minutes will bring you to Piazza Malpighi. There are bike racks available around the square for parking.
