Once at the Marina Grande, purchase a ferry ticket to Naples. The ferries run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. Upon arriving in Naples, make your way to the Molo Beverello port, which is within walking distance from the ferry terminal.

After arriving at Molo Beverello, head to the nearby metro station (Università) and take Line 1 towards Piscinola. Ride until you reach Garibaldi station, then transfer to the Circumflegrea train line. Board a train towards Torregaveta and get off at the Pozzuoli stop. From Pozzuoli station, it's a short walk to Lake Avernus.
