From Salerno, transfer to the Metro del Mare ferry service to Pozzuoli. The ferry ride offers beautiful views and takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Pozzuoli, you can walk approximately 20 minutes to Lake Avernus, following the signs towards 'Lago d'Averno'.
