Bus
Start at the Catania central bus station (Stazione degli Autobus Catania) located near Piazza Giovanni Verga. Look for buses heading toward Zafferana Etnea, which are typically marked with their destination. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once you arrive at Zafferana Etnea, disembark at the main square (Piazza San Giuseppe). From there, head northeast on Via Roma for about 500 meters until you reach Via Piano dell'Acqua. The observation deck, Piano dell'acqua, will be on your left.
Train and Bus
Begin at Catania Centrale train station. Take a train towards Giardini Naxos and get off at the Giarre-Riposto station. From Giarre-Riposto, exit the station and look for the bus stop for local buses to Zafferana Etnea. Once you arrive in Zafferana Etnea, head to the main square (Piazza San Giuseppe) and walk northeast on Via Roma for around 500 meters to Via Piano dell'Acqua, where the observation deck is located on your left.
Walking from Zafferana Etnea
If you are already in Zafferana Etnea, start at the main square (Piazza San Giuseppe). From there, head northeast on Via Roma for about 500 meters. You will then reach Via Piano dell'Acqua. The observation deck, Piano dell'acqua, will be on your left. The walk should take approximately 10 minutes.
