If you are starting from the Catania Cathedral (Piazza Duomo), walk east on Via Etnea. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Garibaldi. Turn left onto Via Garibaldi and continue walking until you reach Piazza Palestro, where Porta Garibaldi is located.
