If you're starting from Monterosso al Mare, take the train to Riomaggiore. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Riomaggiore station, exit the train and follow the signs to the village center. After exiting the station, you'll find a pathway leading downhill towards the village. Continue walking straight until you reach the main street, Via dell'Amore.

From Manarola, take the train to Riomaggiore, which is a very short ride, approximately 2 minutes. Upon arrival, follow the exit signs to the village and walk down towards the main area.

Once in Riomaggiore, proceed to the main street, Via Colombo, and head towards the coast. Follow the signs for Castello di Riomaggiore. The castle is located at the top of a hill, so you will be walking uphill. You can take the stairs that lead up from the main street; this will take you directly to the castle entrance.
