If you are starting from one of the Cinque Terre villages, take a train to La Spezia Centrale station. Trains run frequently between the villages and La Spezia, with a travel time of about 5-10 minutes from Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, or Vernazza. Once you arrive at La Spezia Centrale, follow the signs to exit the station.

Walking
After exiting La Spezia Centrale, head south on Via XX Settembre. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via XXVII Marzo. Turn left onto Via XXVII Marzo. Walk along this road for about 10-15 minutes until you see signs directing you to Castello San Giorgio. The castle is located at the end of the street at the top of the hill, and the route is well-marked.

Alternatively, from La Spezia Centrale, you can take a local bus (Bus Line 1) that heads towards the city center. Get off at the stop labeled 'Castello San Giorgio' or near the Museo del Castello. From there, it’s a short walk uphill to the castle entrance.

If you prefer not to walk, you can take a taxi from La Spezia Centrale directly to Castello San Giorgio. Taxis are available outside the train station, and the ride should take about 10 minutes depending on traffic.
