Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, take the A14 motorway towards Bologna. Once you approach Bologna, follow the signs for 'Centro' to reach the city center. Upon entering the city, look for Via Indipendenza, which leads directly to the historical center. From Via Indipendenza, continue straight until you reach the junction with Via Ravegnana. Turn right onto Via Ravegnana, and you will find Piazza di Porta Ravegnana at the end of this street. Note that parking in the city center can be limited, so consider using a parking garage nearby, which may cost around €2-€3 per hour.

• Public Transportation (Train)

  If you are traveling by train, arrive at Bologna Centrale, the main train station. From there, you can either walk or take a bus. To walk, exit the station and head towards Via dell'Indipendenza, which is about a 20-minute walk. Follow Via dell'Indipendenza until you reach the historical center, then continue to Via Ravegnana to arrive at Piazza di Porta Ravegnana. Alternatively, you can take bus lines 11 or 21 from the bus terminal located outside the station; the ticket costs around €1.50 and will take you directly to the center.

  For those already in the Emilia-Romagna region and using public transport, check local bus services to Bologna. Once in Bologna, navigate to the main bus station and take local bus lines that head toward the city center. Specifically, look for lines 32, 33, or 39, which stop near the center. Bus tickets typically cost about €1.50. After disembarking, walk towards Via Ravegnana to reach Piazza di Porta Ravegnana.
